Veloce

Anthony Plog’s music has easily recognizable stylistic characteristics featuring repeated chromatic sequences interwoven contrapuntally over breathtakingly intense rhythmical variations, with slow, quasi-independent Cantus Firmus-like (and sometimes sad) chants appearing as contrasting material, either in the foreground or the background, for the relentless mechanical scrolling of the fast notes and their rhythmic juxtapositions.

Veloce is the first (short) piece for brass band written by Anthony Plog in his fascinating, spectacular and unique style, which captivates both performers and audiences.
